Wow! I've never seen so many bald eagles before in all my life! If you enjoy fishing, hiking, bird watching or photography, you must check this place out. First off, the eagles... Large numbers of bakd eagkes roost here. You can see them fish and fly, fight and mate. It's breathtaking. The Susquehanna river is gorgeous! The fishing is tremendous there. Walleye and stripers are the mainstay here and they get big! There are some picturesque trails along the water and beyond its the hills. If you're into industrial infrastructure, the dam is really neat to see. After a long day, there sre some great spots to grab some food too. The Admiral is good. Jumbo Jimmys is good too
Very neat place to see the dam up close. Fishermen in the water catching fish and Bald Eagles swoop down for fish too! Parking for the hiking trails as well.
Been there twice. Seems like a really nice place. Only did half of the 2-mile trail. Next time we're going to bring water so we can walk our dog the whole distance. They should have some trash cans on the trail though. They give you a bag for dog poop but they don't have any trash cans.
