It really was just OK. I didn't get to go to Sproutwood because they had closed the last Sunday, and my girlfriend and I spent forever putting together our costumes. So to still get our fix, we drove about two hours to get to the Maryland Faerie Festival. I liked that they offered a 1$ discount to individuals who came in costume. The heat was horrible, but of course, that wasn't the Festivals fault. I felt like there was limited food vendors, but the one's they did have were ok. The one major thing that I didn't like is that it's pretty much just plopped into a summer camp like setting. The environment didn't really give the Faerie feel, though the actors/volunteers did help a little. Everything was just OK to me, and it was a little bit of a let down (everyone always rants that this Festival is better then Sproutwoods). Did we have fun while we were there, yes, would we make the trip there again, no.

Being a farie what else can I say

Everyone was in such good spirits despite the heat! The goblins were hilariously in character, and all of the vendors were very sweet and not pushy at all! The items the vendors sold were all great quality, too!

We offer a $1 discount for coming in costume.

Update! The MDFF has moved to Camp Ramblewood, and now you can camp for the whole weekend. It is a beautiful location and the people are so nice! There are activities, performances and many vendors of cool stuff you cannot find other places. It's a wonderful place to take pictures. There are Faeries and all sorts of other interesting people running around; a unicorn has shown up every year I've been!

10 am to 6 pm

Our admission prices are $3 for ages 3 - 12, $10 for 12 - 99, free for under 3 or over 100.

We will be celebrating Mermaids!

We have a $3 fee per car for parking.

18405 Queen Anne Rd, Upper Marlboro, MD 20774

A fun event for the whole family! Come celebrate the Faeries, and enjoy the pageantry, magic, music, and mischief in an atmosphere inspired by Faerie folklore and literature, and, of course, by the Faeries themselves. Yes, we believe!
